The workshop will start with a presentation of the issue and the project, followed by an interactive session to understand how women/patients and healthcare professionals go from information needs to informed decision making about medicine use in pregnancy and breastfeeding. This will be followed by a live demonstration, hands-on prioritisation games and activities.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women should be provided with up to date high quality safety information about the medicines they use, built on science and IMI ConcePTION is aiming to develop a European-wide “knowledge bank” or database containing information on medicine use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This practical, open access information resource will be compiled by experts in pregnancy and lactation medicine safety. The knowledge bank will provide reliable, up-to-date and evidence-based safety information for women who use medicines during pregnancy or breastfeeding, presented in a way that will make it easier to make informed decisions.
